Introducing a new review editor

EDWARD STUART (b. 1965) studied Pharmacology at University College Dublin, Ireland where he obtained his B.Sc. (1987), M.Sc. (1988) and Ph.D. (1992). His doctoral thesis concerned the influence of the sympathetic nervous system on the liver and was performed in the University of Berne, Switzerland. He received post-doctoral training at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Gottingen, Germany. At present he is a lecturer in the Department of Medical and Community Genetics in Imperial College London. His research interests centre on the involvement of developmental control genes in cancer. Recently, he has been focusing on the oncogenic role of the PAX family of transcription factors in the genesis and progression of tumours of the human central nervous system.
